Okay… deep breath… because this still doesn’t feel real…
ImaginAble Me CIC has been named a Regional Finalist in the StartUp For Good Award at the 2026 UK StartUp Awards 🥹💥
Yep. That one. The one with over 2,100 entries across the UK. And somehow… someway…
our little neon-filled, big-hearted, slightly chaotic corner of Consett has landed right in the middle of it.
This isn’t about being the biggest. Or the most polished. Or the most “corporate”.
This award is about impact. It’s about creating spaces where people feel seen. Where young people can show up exactly as they are. Where confidence grows, connections form, and something shifts.
And that’s exactly what ImaginAble Me CIC @ The GloHouse was built for.
Every young person who’s walked through our doors, every parent who’s trusted us, every supporter who’s cheered us on - you’ve helped build this. This moment belongs to you too 💛
We’re heading to the regional finals in June… and whether we come home with a trophy or not, one thing’s certain: we’re just getting started! More creativity. More connection. More spaces where young people don’t have to shrink to fit.

Hit play on our little video and step inside the world of ImaginAble Me — where neon meets nurture, creativity gets LOUD, and young people find their people.
It’s short, it’s real, and it’s very us. 🎨💥
Go on… have a watch

Our third Community Stars are the fabulous Tracey Keers and Karen Jervis from Imaginable Me CIC in Consett.
Tracey and Karen only started Imaginable Me in July but they've managed to make a big impact in such a small amount of time. From art and music workshops to chill-out sessions and dance offs, they provide safe, inspiring spaces where young people can build confidence, make friends and be themselves.
They're definitely proving popular, with 12 nominations for the Community Star, including:
Keli Nicholson: “This organisation has been a god send to us and many other families in the area. They are so welcoming and inclusive. We are a neurodiverse family and feel so comfortable there without any judgement just love and fun in abundance.”
Victoria Murdy: "They helped greatly with my autistic child, getting her out into the wild. The number of kids they have helped is amazing. One in a million."
Bradley Dodds: "Because Karen and the company are absolutely great! Helpful, kind and good to the community."
They also received nominations from Elizabeth Vitali, Bobbie Whitehead, Rebecca Tait, Lauren Todd, Dona Tunney, Sharelle Scullion, Kate Jervis, Gemma Middlemast and Stephanie Carr.
Tracey and Karen were absolutely thrilled to get the Community Star:
"We're overwhelmed and completely blindsided" said Tracey. "We're so new to what we're doing. We feel like we're just starting to get into it and didn't think anyone would put us forward for an award."
"We wanted to create something that was for people who didn't feel like they fit in" added Karen. "It's lifting them up, celebrating them and letting them be themselves."
They both added "A big THANK YOU to the community for nominating us for this award."
